## Key Drug Interactions
* **Central Nervous System (CNS) Depressants:** Concomitant use with alcohol, sedatives, hypnotics, or other CNS depressants may cause additive CNS depression.
* **Anticholinergic Agents:** May potentiate the anticholinergic effects of other medications.
## Monitoring
Monitor for signs and symptoms of drowsiness, dizziness, and anticholinergic effects. Assess for relief of nausea and vomiting.
## Clinical Pearls
* Walethmade bromide can cause significant drowsiness; advise patients to avoid operating heavy machinery or driving until they know how the medication affects them.
* Due to potential anticholinergic effects, caution is advised in the elderly and in patients with conditions exacerbated by anticholinergic medications (e.g., glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy).
