# Walethmade Bromide
## Overview
Walethmade bromide is a medication used for its antiepileptic properties. It acts by modulating ion channel activity in the central nervous system.
## Primary Indications
* Adjunctive treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients with epilepsy.
## Adult Dosing
The recommended starting dose is 50 mg twice daily. Doses can be increased by 100 mg daily every week until an effective maintenance dose is reached.
* **Usual Maintenance Dose:** 200-400 mg twice daily.
* **Maximum Dose:** 400 mg twice daily (800 mg daily).
## Pediatric Dosing
* **Age 12 years and older:** Dosing is the same as in adults.
* **Age younger than 12 years:** Safety and efficacy have not been established. Dosing in this population is not recommended.
