# Walethmade bromide
## Overview
Walethmade bromide is a quaternary ammonium compound with antiseptic properties. Its mechanism of action involves disrupting microbial cell membranes.
## Primary Indications
* Topical antiseptic for skin cleansing.
* Antiseptic hand wash.
## Adult Dosing
* **Skin Cleansing:** Apply undiluted solution to the affected area. Allow to air dry or wipe with a sterile gauze. Frequency as needed.
* **Hand Wash:** Use undiluted solution as a hand wash, lathering for at least 30 seconds, then rinsing thoroughly.
## Pediatric Dosing
There is no established pediatric dosing for Walethmade bromide. Use with extreme caution in pediatric patients, and consult with a pediatrician.
## Dose Adjustments
No dose adjustments are typically necessary for renal or hepatic impairment, as systemic absorption is minimal with topical use.
## Contraindications
* Known hypersensitivity to Walethmade bromide or other quaternary ammonium compounds.
* Do not use in the eyes.
