# TUSQ-QD (TUSQ-QD)
## Overview
TUSQ-QD is a combination product containing Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3), and Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E). It is a dietary supplement.
## Primary Indications
Supplementation of Vitamins C, D3, and E.
## Adult Dosing
* **Ascorbic Acid:** 500 mg orally once daily.
* **Cholecalciferol:** 1000 IU orally once daily.
* **Tocopherol Acetate:** 400 IU orally once daily.
## Pediatric Dosing
Dosing in pediatric patients is not established and should be determined by a pediatrician based on individual need and weight.
## Dose Adjustments
No specific dose adjustments are typically required based on renal or hepatic impairment, as this is a dietary supplement. However, consider reduced doses or avoidance in patients with specific medical conditions or nutrient sensitivities.
## Contraindications
* Hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.
* Hypercalcemia or conditions that predispose to hypercalcemia (e.g., sarcoidosis).

## Adverse Effects
Generally well-tolerated. High doses of Vitamin C may cause gastrointestinal upset (diarrhea, nausea). High doses of Vitamin E can increase bleeding risk.
## Key Drug Interactions
* **Vitamin E:** May potentiate the effect of warfarin and other anticoagulants, increasing the risk of bleeding.
* **Vitamin D:** Can interact with thiazide diuretics (risk of hypercalcemia), corticosteroids (reduced Vitamin D efficacy), and certain anticonvulsants (reduced Vitamin D absorption and increased metabolism).
## Monitoring
* Monitor for signs of bleeding, especially in patients taking anticoagulants.
* Monitor calcium levels in patients with predisposing conditions to hypercalcemia or those taking other calcium-raising medications.
