# Vosoritide
## Overview
Vosoritide is a C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP) analog used for the treatment of achondroplasia in pediatric patients. It works by stimulating endochondral ossification, promoting linear bone growth.
## Primary Indications
Treatment of achondroplasia in pediatric patients 5 years of age and older with open physes.
## Adult Dosing
Vosoritide is not indicated for adult use.
## Pediatric Dosing
The recommended dose is 1.5 mcg/kg subcutaneously once daily.
The maximum dose is 15 mcg once daily.
## Dose Adjustments
No dose adjustments are specified for renal or hepatic impairment.
## Contraindications

## Adverse Effects
Common adverse effects include injection site reactions (pain, redness, swelling), headache, pyrexia, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Less common but serious adverse effects include hypotension and potential for fluid retention.
