## Overview
Normal saline is an isotonic crystalloid solution used for fluid and electrolyte replenishment. It is a common intravenous fluid for various clinical indications.
## Primary Indications
* Volume replacement due to dehydration, hemorrhage, burns, or other fluid losses.
* Diluent for intravenous administration of compatible medications.

## Adult Dosing
