# Miconazole Vaginal Pessary
## Overview
Miconazole is an imidazole antifungal agent. The vaginal pessary is a solid dosage form inserted vaginally for localized treatment.
## Primary Indications
Treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis (yeast infection).
## Adult Dosing
* **100 mg vaginal pessary:** Insert 1 pessary vaginally at bedtime for 7 days.
* **200 mg vaginal pessary:** Insert 1 pessary vaginally at bedtime for 3 days.
* **Unspecified mg vaginal pessary:** Dose and duration depend on product availability and local protocols. Consult specific product labeling.
## Pediatric Dosing
Dosing in pediatric patients has not been established for the vaginal pessary formulation. Safety and efficacy have not been determined.
## Dose Adjustments
