## Adult Dosing
* **Intermittent Claudication/Peripheral Vascular Disease:** 10-20 mg by mouth three to four times daily.
## Pediatric Dosing
* Data on the efficacy and safety of isoxsuprine hydrochloride in pediatric patients is not established.
## Dose Adjustments
* No specific dose adjustments are recommended for renal or hepatic impairment. However, caution may be warranted in patients with severe hepatic or renal disease due to potential for drug accumulation.

* Should not be administered intravenously.
## Adverse Effects
* **Common:** Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, dizziness, weakness, flushing, skin rash.
* **Cardiovascular:** Hypotension, tachycardia, palpitations.

* **Other Vasodilators:** Concomitant use may increase the risk of hypotension.
## Monitoring
* Monitor blood pressure and heart rate.
* Assess for improvement in symptoms of peripheral vascular disease.
* Monitor for adverse effects.
## Clinical Pearls
