# Ibuprofen (Nurofen, Advil, Motrin)
## Overview
Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that acts by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and COX-2 enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis. It possesses analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory properties.
## Primary Indications
* Mild to moderate pain.
* Fever reduction.

## Adult Dosing
